What was your inspiration for writing Calling All Dawns and how did you come up with a multilingual song cycle? I'm a choral music teacher who loved "Baba Yetu", but only visiting now to study the whole cycle. Thanks!

Thanks for asking! I wanted to do something that tied together a lot of vocal traditions with a positive message about global unity and the universality of the human experience. There's some basic materials here: https://christophertin.com/sheetmusic/ca.... I'll probably expand that page to include more educational materials, to encourage groups to perform the whole cycle and build curricula out of it.
Not a question, but just wanted to thank you for all your wonderful music. I've been on a downward emotional spiral for most of my life, but your music has always been a bright spot (really, a lot of bright spots!) in the gloom. Thank-you again.Christopher Tin responded on 06/03/2018 Next question
How was your day???
Do you play video games? Is there anything special about them in your eyes that makes them a fitting medium for your creativity?
Thanks for saving me with your music. Words can't explain.
Can't wait for To Shiver the Sky, especially hearing some Jules Verne themes in music. He's another creative genius.
