Have you tackled any Native American vocal traditions yet? Are you planning to?

I did *attempt* a tackle during The Drop That Contained the Sea. I wanted to originally make the 'snow' movement about some first nations people... perhaps in Aleut or Yupik, or even something in a northern European indigenous language, like Sami. I did a ton of research, talked to some scholars from a native American museum up in Fairbanks, Alaska, and hunted down some singers who performed in Yupik. Ultimately I gave up. The reason was twofold: one, finding a pre-existing text that made sense for the overall theme of the album wasn't working out. (Apparently 'snow' is too mundane a topic to write about, if you're surrounded by it year round.) Two, I couldn't find the vocal talent that met my standards. I have, however, worked with indigenous peoples before. There will be a new track featuring a Paiwan children's choir, from the mountainous region of Taiwan, on the bonus EP of my Kickstarter campaign.
