Where did the repeating theme from Lacrymosa / interspersed in Calling All Dawns come from? What made you put it into so many of your songs?

It originated with a string quartet I wrote as a graduate student at the Royal College of Music (Lacrymosa), which several years later I repurposed for a short film score (for a Luxembourgian film called 'The Lodge'). That piece then got re-recorded for Calling All Dawns as 'Lux Aeterna', and I decided I liked the motif so much, and it was so harmonically flexible, that I could use it as a connecting device throughout CAD. Thanks for asking!
