I am a music teacher, and we are performing your song cycle "Calling All Dawns" this year: so EXCITED! Do you have any favorite composers from historic or current symphonic literature? and did any of those composers specifically influence "Calling All Dawns?"
I would say some of my classical influences are Brahms, Prokofiev, Vaughan-Williams, Copland. Maybe some more contemporary influences were Gorecki, Tavener, and Ennio Morricone.
In your song cycle, "Calling All Dawns" did you have a tone color or thematic leitmotif with the flute or any other instrument?Christopher Tin responded on 10/28/2013 Next question
I just read about your string quartet "Lacrymosa" on your fan page. Is that music published? can it be purchased? I have a student quartet who might want to explore that work, if it is not too difficult.Christopher Tin responded on 10/28/2013
